Terms and Conditions

Platform-wide terms • Last updated: 16 August 2026

These are the terms for the DashCaf platform as a whole. Each part of DashCaf also has its own terms specific to that role: customers agree to the customer terms in the ordering app, stores to the store terms in the store portal, and delivery partners to the delivery terms in the delivery app. Where a role has its own terms, those apply to that role in addition to these.

1. Who we are and what DashCaf is

DashCaf is a campus food ordering and delivery platform. We connect students with food stores on their campus, and with delivery partners who bring orders to them. DashCaf is an intermediary: stores prepare the food, delivery partners carry it, and we provide the platform that ties them together and handles payment.

2. Accepting these terms

By using any part of DashCaf you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and the information you give us must be accurate.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for what happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access. For added protection, DashCaf offers two-step verification, which you can switch on for your own account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Orders and payments

Prices are shown in South African Rand and include any applicable platform fees, which are displayed before you pay. Card payments are handled by Paystack on its own secure page: your full card number never reaches DashCaf. You can also pay from a DashCaf wallet, and some stores accept cash when you collect an order in person, within a limit the platform sets. Refunds for eligible cancellations are credited to your DashCaf wallet.

6. Stores and delivery partners

Stores are responsible for the food they prepare and for the accuracy of what they publish, including prices, ingredients and allergens. DashCaf does not prepare food and does not verify these details, so if you have an allergy, confirm directly with the store. Delivery partners are independent contractors, not employees of DashCaf. Stores and delivery partners each agree to their own terms when they join.

7. Your personal information

We handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We collect only what we need, keep it safe, and keep it only as long as we need it. You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, and in most cases ask us to delete it. Our compliance report explains what we hold and for how long.

8. Intellectual property

The DashCaf name, logo, design and software belong to DashCaf or its licensors. You may not copy, modify or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DashCaf is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

12. Contact
